"...earth has nothing..."

"Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I
desire besides you." ~ Psalm 73:25

Can we make that claim in our lives today? Can we be content in God alone? I know have brought up the idea of contentment before in a note called, "Contentment." Maybe go look back at it if you would like. But from this verse can we honestly say that every ounce of our being in summarized here? If not, pray for God's help to see you through. Ask Him to draw you close to Him, to want to desire Him, and love Him for all that He is. Remember, there is never going to be a time in this life that we have "arrived." Even Paul said, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6)

Trust in Him today that He is greater than any joy this earth may bring, more loving than the parents who loved you, and more gracious than any charity or cause can advocate. This earth will pass and His home will become our home. His desires for our lives will come to reality. His goodness and glory will reign among the earth forever.

"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'” ~ Psalm 46:10
