Be Still To Listen
What if I told you the God was beckoning you to Himself? Can you be still for a moment and just listen to His still soft voice calling you to him? He wants you to know He is your peace, security, and strength. Nothing in this world, no person, place, or thing, will ever compare to joy and settlement that can be found in Him. Psalm 46:8 says, "Be still and know I am God." When Elijah went to meet with God in the mountains, he didn't find Him in the fire or earthquake. He found him in the "gentle whisper" that followed. There is something to be found in the stillness of life. Maybe you are facing difficulties, trials, or a particular sin you need to get rid of. Find time every chance you get to give praise to God. When we praise Him, we give Him thanks as well as remind ourselves who we are and who He is. He is the provider of our strength and song in the night when we are lonely, scared, worried, fearful, or exhausted. Did you know we as believers are not the ones who beckoned God; He beckoned us. That means He searched for us while we were still sinners. He loved us even when He knew we would fail Him. He has extended grace on our part when we could not get it together. When we were wallowing in our sins He was the to help us. Not the other way around. See God does not have inner battles to deal with as we do. If He did, He would be no different than man. But God is in control. God will provide. He is perfect. And if we trust in Him this day to do what He wants us to do, we can find peace, security, contentment, and joy. There is no fight left to fight. No tears to shed over what we miss out on. God can be the full cup we need when we are thirsty. The bread that feeds us when we are hungry. The guding hand that holds our hand when we need guidance. The arms that carry us when we are weak and weary. He will be with us and remind us we are never alone. Nothing seperates us from Him. No angels, demons, height, depth, or anything we can name can seperate us from this love of God that is so consuming. And that is exactly what God wants. For us to be consumed in His love and exemplify who He is in this life He has given us. No one and nothing else. Only Him. He loves you. Listen to Him and hear His calling.
