I want to talk to the friend who is hurting at this very moment. How much I pray for them. How much I feel their burden. How much I want to help them see God through their circumstances.
The Bible clearly tells us God is peace (Psalm 4:8; 29:11). It also tells us how strong (Proverbs 18:10), how wise (Romans 16:27), how understanding He is to take care of us in our times of trouble (Hebrews 4:15). That, friend, is what I want to communicate right now to you! Our God is a God is who loves in every aspect and wants to give us rest. There is hope found in Him, and no where else.
Friend, to you who hurts, I pray that you will find that God is your rock, refuge, and strength in every circumstance. Don't let Satan and his demons lie to you. God can be found in all circumstances, including your hurt and pain. But how, you might wonder. What can God do?
Almost three years ago we faced circumstances beyond ourselves in my family, yet I have seen the Lord work in our lives since then. My sister faced death, but by the Lord's mercy she survived. Not only has she accepted Christ since then, but she proves to me what God can do through tragedy.
Let's not look at this present time as the end of the book, but more as the end of the chapter we maybe in. There is another one. The Bible is full of them. The end of the book is Revelations, and we all know that ends well. The chapters before show us how we can be alright before we get to the end of this life.
What we need to focus on is Christ. How good is He? If you cannot answer that just now, go out and talk to him. Read His word. Cry out to Him...
Looking back at the tragedies in my life thus far, I would want someone to say something similar to what I just said. That is simply spending time alone and letting God be there for you. Do not leave until you get a clear sense of his peaceful presence. Ask him for comfort from the pain and rest from the suffering. He is not going to let you go.
Friend(s), never hesistate to let me know what you need me to pray about. I love you all. Thank you for reading. Good night!
