Unconditional Love~ He Holds My Hand

Recently I have been  reminded of this simple truth. God holds my hand. I wanted to share a few verses under different conditions that he holds it. The first is the permenant marking of us as believers in the palms of his hand (that's deeper than a tattoo!). The second is in fearful times. He is there with us, holding our hands. The last verse is a reminder that even in our sin nature, God holds unto us no matter what. I think of his grip getting tighter everytime I try to pull away to sin. He's never letting us go. And think even back to when we were not saved. How much more love would he have to have had to grab a hold of our hand in the first place? I don't know how random of a post this sounds, but it is comforting to know God is holding my hand amongst all conditions of my life.

"See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me." ~ Isaiah 49:16

"For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." ~ Isaiah 41:13

"Then I realized that my heart was bitter,
and I was all torn up inside.
I was so foolish and ignorant—
I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you.
Yet I still belong to you;
you hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
leading me to a glorious destiny.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever.

Those who desert him will perish,
for you destroy those who abandon you.
But as for me, how good it is to be near God!
I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter,
and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do." ~ Psalm 73:21-28

BONUS:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

This verse is affirmation that anything or anyone such as death, angels, demons, or anything of all creation cannot steal us from God's grip on us. Pretty cool, right? God is God. No one or anything can come between him and us. Hallejuah!

And yes, there's a song that goes with this...
