I watched this video a long time ago, and recently just stumbled back upon it.
It's a spoken word poem. Something that you might recognize is the similarity in pattern of that of a rap song, with the rhythm of words. Don't worry, you don't have to like rap to like it.
I'll let you watch the video, but keep in mind, what he speaks about is something I hear a lot from people who resent Christianity, and I am sure is true for the rest of the world. It's hard to see the genuine hope and the realness found in the Christian faith without seeing the mask of religion it can wear.
It's not America's #1 religion that it needs to be followed.
It's not made up of weak minded people.
It's not for the self righteous, "holier than thous" who like to live right from wrong.
It's for the people who want to know what life is really all about.
Why are we here? Why do we suffer? What good is in the world when nothing is consistent? Is there really a God? And if so, does he care? Can I talk to him? Get to know him?
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We can find hope in him. Not religion.
